Your new, favorite neighborhood diner

Since 2014, Connie's Diner has been offering you mouthwatering breakfasts and lunches at reasonable prices. More than that, owners Connie and Wally Shaffer, have created an inviting atmosphere where you'll get to know the friendly staff and regular customers.

Since there is no Wi-Fi or TV in the restaurant, you’ll feel like you have been transported back to a simpler time. It is a one-of-a-kind dining experience.

Our building's history since 1884

1884 - 1893 - Owner Ernest Heiden opened a saloon in the downstairs while Paul Vandervoot, a surgeon, had his office on the second floor.

1893 - 1900 - Owner Peter Scholl opened a boot and shoe store at this location. This may also have been the time when the original building was split into two separate businesses as there is a listing for The Diamond, a saloon owned by John Fitzgerald at 577 ½ Main St.

1898 - 1900 - Owner Frank E. Storks opened a grocery store at this site.

1915 - 1919 - The building was, for the first time, converted into a restaurant; owner and name unknown.

1919 - 1926 - During these years, the building was used as a vulcanizing shop, (owner Austin C. Hayward) under the names Wallicks & Hayward, and later Hayward & Williams.
